  Falls

The 12,000 years old falls has carved out an incredible natural scenic view that combines height and water flows that will amaze any visitor. When Samuel de Champlain visited it around 1604, he described these waterfalls as spectacular. The Niagara Falls name may have come from the name of a local aboriginal tribe call the "Niagagarega" or from the Iroquois Indian word "Onguiaahra" meaning "the strait". This area has been a tourist destination since the 18th century. That means there are many activities that are offered like Clifton Hill with its interactive museums, a ride over the whirlpool rapids on the Spanish Aero car, Fort George and Lundy’s Lane, where the Canadians and the American had the bloodiest battles which happened in 1814, and the Maid of Mist boat that brings you directly under the falls and gives a spectacular view. These are a few examples of what is available to do that are related to natural science and history. Niagara Falls is not only a city but a wonderful destination to discover.
